AudioCast – Audio Signal Distribution
AudioCast is an addressable, digital (MPEG) broadcasting transmission system using satellite technology. Signals can be distributed from one satellite transmitting terminal (e.g. from the customer location in Austria) to an unlimited number of receiving terminals within the coverage zone of a satellite.
Thanks to its comparably high overall transmission rate of up to 267 kbps per carrier, transmission is in CD quality. Therefore, up to 4 mono/2 stereo channels can be transported. In addition, another channel can be established with a lower transmision rate. The audio transmission service is either permanently available (24 hours/day) or for a limited time (e.g. 1 hour/day).
VideoCast – Video Signal Distribution
VideoCast is an addressable, digital broadcasting transmission system. Depending on the quality requirements it can handle transmission rates of between 2.5 and 45 mbps. In addition to the video channels, data transmission channels are available for further functions (VPS, software download, etc.).
All current video standards are supported in various resolutions.
Video transmission is either permanently available (24 hours/day) or for a limited time (e.g. 1 hour/day).
